Simone mentored me to my first Coast to Coast longest day. She helped me with my kayaking which I improved in immensely. Her skills, experience and wisdom were absolutely priceless. She was so generous with her time and treated me like a training buddy and a friend. This was so cool as an 18 year old to be training with a legend. In the build up for Coast she gave me advice that not only got me through race day but let me enjoy the whole experience.

Having had the fantastic opportunity to attend the legend herself, Simone Maier's Coast to Coast training Camp, I can highly recommend attending, not just for the training but all the expert knowledge and insights around the event. The location is amazing and easy to train from, especially on day 2 when you start the 55k kayak race only 100 meters from where you are based. Things were so easy, relaxed, and so much fun. Janet, who was also helping with the camp, was fantastic with the nutrition side of things, and this was a great bonus. I highly recommend getting involved and amoungst it with this camp if you are a first time Coaster and if you want more specific training over a long weekend. Give it a nudge.

Very informative course which touched on all of the major aspects of an adventure race. Loved meeting like minded ladies and getting “to do” an orienteering course which was a great challenge. Highly recommend ladies of all abilities to come and meet these 2 amazing adventure racers who inspire and motivate.

Emily and Simone were very easy to work with, and able to accommodate our groups needs. The sessions provided were of high quality, and attendees left feeling empowered to take on their own adventures. Both of these ladies are very down to earth and approachable. I would highly recommend working with ‘A Level Up’

It’s not been an easy road back to condition for me after COVID, so being able to up my skills while I’m getting myself back has been so valued. I loved the community that came from the day as much as I love the professional info packaged up in managable bites.

The weekend was fantastic. A fun filled few days split between learning about adventure race kit, navigating on foot and bike and at night, and pack rafting. As a newbie to adventure racing, and someone who is navigationally challenged, I gained so much confidence using a compass and map reading. I'd love to do it all over again.

A Level Up is a great investment into the start of your adventure racing. The skills gained over this course have made a tangible impact on my adventure races - I don’t think I would’ve had as much fun or been as good at navigating if it weren’t for attending their course! Simone and Em are such a wealth of experience and knowledge, and such lovely people - it was easy to walk away from the course feeling inspired and motivated!

This weekend is well worth it. If you want a fun weekend away, with a great group of likeminded ladies. World Class tutors, that are still on our level of niceness in both one on one and group conversations! Biking with Simone on the back roads of Te Anau, absorbing as much info, learning about her experiences and sharing your own, while asking so many questions – That’s an experience not found anywhere else… unless you can get into her World Adventure racing team

The two day course I did with these two extremely talented ladies was amazing they brought it right down to earth. They walked us through navigation, what gear to use and so many other things I had never thought of. Their knowledge was worth its weight in gold. I wish it was a week course they were amazing to talk to very informative and easy to talk to.

I did Simone and Emily's Intro to Adventure Racing course and what a fab couple of days.  So many great tips, I learnt a lot!  They are both so down to earth, energetic and inspiring, you can't help but want to learn from them. My friends and I had an absolute ball over the two days and came away from it wanting to do Godzone!! 

Simone was a fantastic coach , very thorough and hands on . Simone helped me to achieve all my running goals ,keeping it interesting and varied with a mix of disciplines .
